Oktoberfest

Last weekend was Oktoberfest in a local town. Emma Grace loves to get dressed and go out.

There was a lot of free things for the kids to do. Jacob and Ephraim picked out a tattoo.
Jacob picked a Lizard

Ephraim picked a heart with the word Love. I tried to have him pick something else, but that is what he wanted.

Judah choose to get his face painted.

He picked an Owl.

Emma Grace got a balloon.

They played a bunch of games. Here they are trying to hit the bulls-eye to drop the monkey..

And they got to spin a wheel...

and pick a corresponding prize.

They got to play fisher and toss bean bags in pumpkins. Judah was good at these type of games.

Then Judah got his hair colored (not permanent)

They even got to build a bird house or toolbox. Judah and Ephraim choose the bird house and Jacob choose the toolbox. Mommy and Daddy had to help.

After we played some games and did some projects, we let them ride a couple carnival rides.
Jacob was excited to ride the car.

It was so cute because all the other kids were waving at their parents and Jacob was concentrating on steering the car right.

Judah and Ephraim rode the motorcycles.

Then Jacob and Ephraim choose to go on the giant slide. They weren't tall enough to go by themselves, so I got to go with them one at a time.

After that I got the little ones some cotton candy while Paul took Judah on the Ferris-wheel.

Sticky!

Amazingly, Jacob didn't like it!

Jacob's 3rd Birthday

For Jacob's birthday we had some friends over to celebrate.

Opening presents.

Birthday Cake. He loves trucks!

Then we had them run off their energy with a water balloon fight. The big Boys had just as much fun!

Then they settled down and played with Jacob's new play-dough.

Renisance Festival

Labor Day Weekend we were going to go camping with some friends a couple hours away, but as it got close the the weekend, the weather didn't look good down there. It was going to be raining all weekend, so we decided to stay home. We still wanted to do something fun, so we found out the Renaissance Fest was in town and it was Pirate weekend. So we decided to dress up as pirates and go.

My pirate family!!

My scurvy pirate boys!

There was a petting zoo.

We were in a pirate contest. Judah and Jacob won.

The we saw a jousting show. Sorry no photo's of the actual show.

They got to ride a camel.

and pet an elephant.

Then we had dinner.
Our friends Adam and Melinda eating a turkey leg.

The boys had a very healthy dinner of ice cream and cookies.

Ephraim had a brownie sunday.

Our last stop on the way out was this swing. The boys really like this.

We had a great time and have some good memories. I think we are going to do it every year, and make even better costumes.
