Craptastic Day

Today started way to early! It started around 12:30 with Jacob puking. He puked almost every 30 minutes for the rest of the night, which means, we got little sleep. Especially since we went to be later than usual. I don't think I was even all the way asleep when he first started. As we were getting through the morning routine, Emma Grace threw up. The older boy were acting okay, so we still sent them to school. We were able to manage through the rest of the morning alright. Emma Grace didn't throw up any more, but Jacob did, and had bad diarrhea. The poor boy couldn't make it to the bathroom, so through strong protest, we put a pull-up on him to try and minimize clean up. We got him and Emma Grace to take a short nap and Emma Grace was back to her self. While I was scrubbing the bathrooms with bleach, Paul fell asleep on the couch and Emma Grace decided to paint several rooms with POOP!! Beyond frustrating. Then, while we were cleaning that up we got a call from the school saying that Judah had a fever. Not long after Paul got home with the boys Jacob started puking all over the couch! While we were cleaning that, Emma Grace decided to make the pillow stuffing into snow! Needless to say, it was a very trying day and I am trying to hold it together with some Thai and chocolate. Lord give me GRACE!!!

This and That

Last week we got yet another snow storm, and this one was very big! We got around 12". It was too cold to play in it at first, but recently we got a couple warm days and it made the snow compact-able. The neighbor girls came over and we made this giant snow man. It was quite a challenge to get the middle part on, but we did it!

This weekend we worked on making homemade Valentines for their school parties. They won't be nearly as pretty as pre-made bought ones, but they will be personal. I made one to show them the idea, and then let them make their own. I used red felt for the heart, but I think next time I would just use construction paper. When the kids used too much glue it came through the felt, and it was a little difficult to draw on.

The other weekend I went to a 80's theme birthday party! It was a lot of fun to dress up and listen to "Carmen" It brought back great memories of making up dances with my sister and cousins!!
