Homemade

Last week we got creative and decided to make homemade marshmallows and chocolate taffy. They both turned out fantastic. We did other side projects while waiting for things to set and clean.

Making the syrup for the marshmallows.

Spraying the pan so we can get the marshmallows back out.

Coloring leaves while we wait for the marshmallows to whip to the right consistency.

Taste Testing!

Painting Pumpkins In between marshmallows and taffy.

Ephraim didn't want to get in the paint much so he wanted me to help. It's funny because Ephraim loves the dirt and is always dirty in some way.

Taffy Time

Pulling the taffy.

Getting Harder

wrapping the sticky peices.
If you want any of the recipies let me know.

There's nothing like homemade candy! We had so much fun making marshmallows too. It never even occurred to me to make it until I saw a recipe last year in Bon Appetit. Very cool.

You need to post the Chocolate Taffy recipe; it's been such a long time since my last taffy experience, and I'd love to try yours!
